Taking online courses at University of Minnesota?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: university online courses

Is it possible to take an online German Class at the University of Minnesota? Im pretty fluent, I just want to learn all of the grammatical stuff and what not because when I went to Germany I learned spoken german and not business German.

According to their website, the only German class included in their distance learning program is German I, elementary German, which probably won't be helpful if you are fluent.

What is the best Online University to obtain an MBA?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: university online courses

I want to get my MBA online but don't know much about these online universities/courses.

Duke University has an online MBA as does UMass and Florida State. Your options are many and extend way beyond the UoP type schools.

I'd say that the best online MBA I know of right now is the one at Duke but that's a subjective opinion. Other good choices include the likes of Az State, U Colorado, Embry-Riddle, U Florida, Indiana, James Madison, U Maryland, U Michigan, U Nebraska, U Texas, U Wyoming, and the U. of YourState probably teaches online… it goes on and on. In fact, the MBA is one degree that gives you the most choices online.

Make certain that your choice is regionally accredited and if you can get into an AACSB program, that will be extremely beneficial. Don't expect it to be either easy or inexpensive – it will be neither.

Understand that when you say "online degree" many people immediately think of UoP and their kin — they just don't understand the magnitude of distance delivery these days. Even Harvard and Oxford are teaching online now.

Posted by: admin  :  Category: university online courses

Can you tell me your experience, was it worth it? What degree should I get if I only what to go for 4 years?

i met a few people who enrolled when devry first started like 10-15 years back. after getting the education the only jobs they could get were minimum wage jobs and struggle to pay off the loans. i personally have not heard of someone actually making money out of getting an education from devry here in los angeles

I would like to know what people think of the University of Pheonix online courses for psychology?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: university online courses

If anyone has went to college there or in psychology field please let me know what you think of this university.  I don't want to go through the entire schooling and not get a career out of the deal.

I am not taking any psychology courses, but I have been attending school there. Honestly, I love it! It really is a great program! and the degrees are the same as if you went on campus. You can do both on campus and online with them, actually with Psychology I think they require it.

Not alot of people understand that Online courses are the same as any other university, they think online courses are just an easy way for people to cop out, they're very wrong. Actually they proved that online courses are harder that campus.

Has anyone ever used university of Phoenix online courses? Did you have an easy time getting a job after?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: university online courses

I want to go to school, but I work two jobs and have debt I’m trying to get out of. I would really like to get a doctorate in psychology one day and I’m wondering if this is a good school. I was also wondering if I could transfer all my credits to another school in the future? I currently just have a high school diploma and I just want to better myself. Thanks

There are tons of online programs. I personally attended American Intercontinental Univ. and Capella University, and teach for the University of Phoenix. All three are accredited and solid programs. Online courses tend to vary in price, so we could say they are more expensive, but that is relative. Of course they are more expensive than a community college, but less expensive than Harvard. The price range varies.

The key is to find a program that is fully accredited. Is it worth it? YES. My career has boomed since my MBA at nearly 5 years ago. I am close to finishing my PhD through distance education, and I am at the job that I want. I know I wouldn’t be here without the education. If you are looking at work in the U.S., then you need a school that is accredited and recognized by the Dept of Ed. I can give more info on that later.

You should market yourself and not the degree or university. There are many traditional universities offering degrees that can be earned through online methods. Distance Learning Alliance has a list of these traditional online schools. Look at that if you are truly concerned with the name of the school. Good luck on your search!

Does taking online courses from the University of Phoenix helps you the same as to actually going to college?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: university online courses

I'm planning on enrolling but I'm not sure if Companies take that as an actual Degree. I'm planning on taking the two year plan. Do you think its a good idea? Mostly it's because of my schedule.

UoP does have a pretty poor reputation but they are indeed regionally accredited (the same as UMUC by the way) and are not a diploma mill.

The idea that Open is the only legit online program in the world is a touch dated. Harvard and Stanford have online programs and they are pretty well respected schools.

UMass, Florida State, University of California, on and on… there are some very good schools out there with online degree programs that kick the tail of anything you get sitting at East Podunk State Teacher's College listening to Joe the grad assistant learn to teach.

They also kick the tail of those wholly online, heavily advertised programs such as UoP.

Almost every college in the US now has online courses and very many offer their degrees online. It's not about online vs traditional — it's about the reputation of the school.

Why do you suppose it is that nobody ever asks "do employers respect a degree from Harvard or Yale" but they continuously ask about UoP? reputation. Because remember, UoP isn't only online – they have classrooms too. and a pretty sweet stadium. ☺
