Any Pre-Law online Degree programs?

I am looking to start my own private consultation business as far as Providing info on Bankruptcies, divorce/child support modifications, wills/trust,citizenship, expungements, etc. My business would mainly be explaining how to fill out paper and what the process will be. I know that you can do this line of work as a Paralegal but I want to take it a step further, what would be the best educational route to pursue my goal?

If you have an undergraduate degree (any kind), then a graduate law programme would be the best route for you.

It would only be worth doing if the online school is accredited with the American Bar Association; and of course you can't practice unless you also pass the State's bar examination, usually a grueling 3-day ordeal. You should think of night school–many of the best law schools offer night programs, and if you can graduate you will have a much more well-recognized degree on your resume.

So I spoke to a kapalan advisor and they stated that they have the highest accredidation possible and i am able to transfer to any U once i complete my BA program. The only problem is I don't know if a law school will accept a ba online degree. I recenetly completed my aa through one of kaplan's sister school called maric, but i don't know if their credits are transferable to my state U. I want to eventually go to law schoole but i want to know if i should take the kaplan route or just start all over again at JC. Kaplan said they have an advanced start program since i recieved my aa and i would only have to complete half the time and half the cost since they already give me 90 credits for starting with them and any prereqs i may have completed within my aa. The cost of any BA program through kapalan is 57,000 the advanced start BA program cost 28,000 with the exception you have an (aa,as, etc.). May someone please give me some positive feedback on how i can find me way to law school.
I know that my ugpa has to be excellent and my lsat scores have to be outstanding, but i would still like to know if it's even accepted say at Stanford. I plan on making my way back to the bay area to attend Santa Clara U or Stanford if and only if the right route is Kaplan.

I teach undergraduate law courses for several schools online and I have taught for Kaplan (although I no longer teach for them). Many of my students ask me if their degree will be "accepted" by a law school. You know folks can talk about accreditation all day long … but when the school officials are behind closed doors making admission decisions and see one person has graduated from a brick and mortar school (which law schools are) and another student did it all online, I can't help but think there is a little bias in that decision-making process. My students who are taking online courses from schools that have real campuses, like Davenport University or Ashford University, will not have this problem since it is impossible to tell from their degree whether they attended classes on campus or online. If law school is your absolute goal I would recommend you go to a non-online school … or at the very least take online classes from a school that is a campus school with an online program (like Davenport, Ashford, Baker, Southern New Hampshire, Troy, Park … etc.). Law degree from online law schools?

I am interested in obtaining a JD degree from an online law school. I know that the only state which I could use that degree is in California, But I am almost finished with my MBA and know that most of my competition does not have a JD degree. I just want that for my resume and knowledge. Especially since I plan on becoming a real estate developer. Does anyone know what online law schools are nationally and regionally accredited (not including the ABA accreditation)?

Concord Law School merged with Kaplan University in 2007 and Kaplan is regionally accredited my North Central Association. The way they word it is that "Concord is the first online law school to be part of a regionally accredited institution of higher education." They don't state that Concord is regionally accredited. I'm not sure what to make of that condition. They are also DETC accredited and CalBar registered.

This is the only JD with what may (or may not) be regional accreditation. You are correct that there are no online programs accredited by ABA – the ABA doesn't allow full or substantial online delivery. Yet…

Is there an online law school where a graduate student can get their law degree?

If you want to get a J.D. (Juris Doctor which is the American Law Degree), there are no places online to get one. Some of my collegues say they are going to drop out of law school and get their degree online, but the American Bar Association requires a certain amount of class time for a degree.

A minority of Law Schools do allow part-time programs. For instance, University of Missouri has a part time program. Drake University has a dual PharmD/J.D. program. Many places have MBA/JD programs. Some have MD/JD programs. Because Law School is so intense, most poeple do not do this. What you should do is find a place that has both a law school and a graduate school with what you want to do and so if you can combime them.
